Study and organisation tips!

Hello!

Im finally back again with another blog, im so sorry, things really does get a lot busy lately and definitely gonna get more busier. My finals are coming up really soon in less than a month and im gonna buck up and do my revisions in hopes that I can actually save my terrible results. Hahas.

Since this week's a holiday, I thought i could squeeze in a little bloggy for today to compensate for you all:P

Please do bear in mind this would most likely to be the last blog before I go for my finals, and I will be back for more after the exams. Hope you guys understand that!

Ps. So I recently got sick and it was quite bad, wasn't able to taste and smell up to now, it was like no food till I got better. Living hell.

Nice, now pass me the salt.

Enough of that, lets get into the main topic of today's blog.

Since finals are just around the corner, I decided to share with you guys a few ideas and study tips and ways to organise your stuff to help you study and focus better.

Hahas XD

Everyone have different ways to study better so its not a one size fits all, you have to try out and see which one works the best for you.

1. Study group -If you cant concentrate studying by yourself, you can try to have a small study group, preferably 1 to around say 3 because the bigger the group the most probability that it will end up with nothing complete but just messing around, playing and empty bags of potato chips. *Study with people that are serious to study.

  2. "Brain food"- We all know we cant do without food. Snack on something preferably healthy, which not only is obviously healthier, it can help your brain to work better.

A quick and easy healthy snack that I like to do is to take a variety of berries and mix them with yogurt and a drizzle of honey and granola if you prefer. Yumm~

3. Fidgety- if you are a fidgety person that cant sit still for long, take more frequent short breaks in between but make sure to come back focus and continue.

4. Where did that mind fly off to?-If your mind tends to go somewhere else easily like me, try putting away anything distracting to you.

You can also set the mood by listening to soft  music or even just lighting up a scented candle to relax and puts you in the mood to study. It works for me everytime. (Just remember not to burn down anything with the candle)

5. Sticky notes!- They serve great as reminders to let you know how many days you are  left for the exams and write encouraging stuff to motivate yourself.

( Photo belongs to its rightful owner and im not advertising them): ) Gel  highlighters are so cool and different from the normal ones.

6. Highlighters- Nothing new here, just make sure to really highlight only the key points not paint the whole page with yellow neon ink.

7. Write- Some people that I know, actually most, including myself have find that writing out the information actually helps you to remember the content better.Take it also a chance to practise the handwriting as well. Hahas.

8. Read and read and read. Yeahh its pretty self-explanatory.

9. Notebook-This one's my personal favourite and I use it all the time. Basically what i do is I summarise the contents in a small notebook that I can easily carry around with and at the end of each topic, I write down a list of questions that I can test myself if I really remember them and if I dont, I can always flip to the front and refer.
Its gonna be a little more amount of effort and time put into but trust me it works really really well!!

10. Flash cards- you can either do what the picture shows or write the word on one side and the definition of it on the other side, they help so much and makes everything so much easier to work with.

Now on to study organisation! !

To be able to focus and study better, firstly you will need a suitable environment to work with!

(Wow...that is way so fancy!! )

Make sure you are in a suitable environment to study, relatively quiet, depending how sensitive you are, good lighting and comfortable amount of space.

If you dont have that in your home, you can always go to the library or even school!

Next, a messy desk?  Cant do. Clear out all the messy stuff, and start organising them.

Then arrange them into categories- pens, pencils, markers, highlighters, coloured pens etc.

Use any container to store them, or if you dont have them, why buy them when you can make the best out of toilet rolls?  Yep toilet rolls. Don't throw em toilet rolls!

Make your own unique choice of design and texture!
You can just paint them over and draw some cute designs on or you could go all out like the picture, using different colour yarns and buttons and all kind of fanciful stuff!

Then there you have it, your diy stationary holder ! :)

You can also use small containers thats lying around in your house, or you can buy them in cheap prices to fill up your drawers to organise them.  You definitely can decorate them to your own desire :D

isn't cute? <3
